Nod to housing projects in old towns’ vacant lands

Jaipur: The vacant lands of old habitation will be populated in a planned manner for which a big decision has been taken. Approval will be given under section 69A of the Municipal Act so that planned development can be done on the lands of the old habitation area in the cities. UDH and LSG departments issued orders in this regard for the first time to bring housing schemes on vacant land in the old habitation areas.

Due to the possibility of issuing a large number of leases in Prashasan Shehron Ke Sang (PSKS) abhiyan, the entire focus of the state government is on this. Apart from these, many bodies have given feedback to the government that there are many huge vacant lands in these areas, which are likely to have unplanned development in future. According to experts, the benefit of this order is also likely to be given to the members of the former royal families who have vacant lands in these areas. Leases will be issued for temples built on land up to 500 sqm in old habitation areas.
