No new beneficiaries for 100 units free electricity scheme, says govt in House
Jaipur: After calling previous govt’s scheme populist, the BJP govt has now put a brake on these schemes. The free smartphone scheme started in Gehlot’s rule has been suspended for time being. At the same time, new people will not be added to the scheme of giving 100 units of free electricity.
In response to different questions asked about both schemes, the govt clearly said in a written reply given that the free smartphone scheme has been suspended since the time of the MCC of assembly elections, a final decision will be taken on it later. At same time, in response to another question in the case of free electricity scheme, the govt said that under this scheme, there is a provision to give the benefit of the scheme only on registration of one domestic connection from one Jan Aadhar.
