No dearth of talent in State, they need chance to hone their skills: Gehlot

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday inaugurated the Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympic Sports Competition in which 58 lakh people have registered to participate in the games.

Speaking at the event at SMS Stadium, CM Gehlot noted that there is no dearth of talent in the state and that people need right opportunities to hone their skills. He said the importance of sports in life cannot be denied. CM also inaugurated 8-lane int’l swimming pool prepared after renovation. Officials said competition will be held from Aug 5 to Sept 18. 58.51L players have registered for games, of which 46.12L in rural sports and 12.38L in urban. The State govt has sanctioned budget of `130 cr for event.
