NHAI speeds up projects to ease traffic congestion

Jaipur: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is rapidly advancing several projects in the state to alleviate traffic congestion.

NHAI Project Director Ajay Arya stated that key initiatives, including the Jaipur-Delhi and Jaipur-Ajmer National Highways, the Ring Road, Jaipur-Ringas Road, and the Khatu Shyam Ji Ring Road, along with smart traffic management in Jaipur, will ease traffic congestion in the near future.

He informed that the widening of the 200-foot road to Junction 14, expanding from 4 to 6 lanes, aims to reduce traffic pressure in the capital. NHAI plans to construct six new underpasses along this route, ensuring high-quality CC roads.

The overlay work on the six-lane GurgaonKotputli-Jaipur section of NH 48 is progressing swiftly, with Patel Infrastructure managing the overlay and remaining tasks for both the main highway and service road in two packages. Approximately 100 km of DBM overlaying has already been completed.
