New policy a ‘milestone’, says Heeralal Nagar on clean energy
Jaipur: In an exclusive interview with First India, Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar shared insights on Rajasthan’s first-ever Integrated Clean Energy Policy.
He said, “This policy, prepared under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, will play a pivotal role in achieving the national target of 115 gigawatts of power generation capacity and 10 gigawatts of storage capacity from renewable energy sources.”
He described the policy as a “milestone” in the state’s energy transformation, with a clear plan to achieve these targets by 2030. Yntil now, there was no policy for energy storage, which the new Integrated Clean Energy Policy now addresses. Rajasthan is set to make a unique mark in the clean energy sector, through the introduction of the Integrated Clean Energy Policy by the government. This policy will bring together all forms of green energy under unified approach.
