New CS to be appointed, major admn reshuffle on cards
Jaipur: The current week is very important and crucial from the administrative point of view in the State. A major administrative reshuffle is expected by this weekend. The most important thing is that there has to be a change of guard at the top level of bureaucracy. A new Chief Secretary will come after 1.5 year. The present CS, Usha Sharma will retire on June 30.
Along with the appointment of new CS, there will also be transferposting of IAS in large numbers. The senior IAS officer who becomes CS, his or her departments will have to be handed over to other officers. For this, a new chain will be formed. It is believed that some secretaries, who have played long innings, will also be given new responsibilities. Five IAS, who are returning this month include Anandi, Rajan Vishal, Archana Singh, Indrajit and Neha. They will also be posted.
It is said that three IAS are unhappy with their new postings in the last two transfer lists and they are also trying to change posting. It is possible that in the new circumstances, their efforts will be fruitful.
The date of June 30 is also significant for two other reasons. On that day, the Mehangai Rahat Camps will be closed. In this case, the personnel attached to camps, can be changed. The second reason is that the Election Commission has declared the date of June 30 as the last day to shift all the state employees occupying the same post for three years and posted in their home district.
According to experts, along with IAS, many IPS and RAS will be affected by this direction of the Election Commission. According to an estimate, their total number can be close to 100. There will also be transfers of RAS in large numbers. It is notable that a dozen RAS are posted in the Jaipur Development Authority for four years. These influential RAS remained posted in one zone or another within JDA due to approach. Their departure is also fixed by June 30. Similarly, in the districts, about 40 RAS occupying creamy chairs for three years, will be changed.
