Named in FIR, Dungarpur SP denies role

Jaipur: The Anti Corruption Bureau has named Dungarpur SP Sudhir Joshi in the matter of two CI and two constables being held with a bribe of Rs 3.30 lakh from a liquor contractor, whom the officials had assured of settling two cases and demanded a monthly settlement. The bureau is searching for Sunil Kumar, who acted as a broker between the CIs and constables. The role of the SP is suspicious as the accused had reportedly taken bribe in his name.

The name of Sudhir Joshi has been included in the FIR registered by the ACB as his role is considered suspicious in the case. The ACB wrote in its report that when the ACB team did the verification on June 15, 2022, there was a conversation between the complainant and the station in charge Dilip Dan and Bhaiyalal Anjana and broker Sunil Kumar. Dilip Dan had agreed to take a bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh only after talking to the SP. The conversation between Dilip and SP has been confirmed by the WhatsApp screenshot.
