‘...my elephant died due to poisoning’, says owner

Jaipur: A new twist has come in the case of death of elephant number 57, Lakshmi in Hathi village in Amber. There is a stir in the entire forest dept after elephant owner Sadiq Khan has written a letter to Police Commissioner complaining about poisoning of elephant on basis of CCTV footage, audio recording and evidence found. Questions are also being raised on the Medical Board of the Forest Dept as they declared Lakshmi’s death due to cardiac arrest.
