MP police to honour Raj cops for saving 3 abducted shepherds

Jaipur: The Madhya Pradesh Police will honour 36 police officials of the Dholpur and Karauli districts for rescuing 3 kidnapped shepherds from the Mandrayal police station area in Karauli.

Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra informed that MP’s Chambal Zone ADG Rajeev Chawla had announced to honour 20 police personnel of Karauli district and 16 policemen from Dholpur district with an appreciation letter and cash prize of Rs. 25,000. “Shivpuri (MP) Superintendent of Police has informed us that 3 shepherds have been kidnapped from Vijay Nagar Police Station area of Shivpuri district. The location of kidnappers was traced in the Mandrayal police station area, following which, teams from 4 police stations were formed to rescue the victims.

A search operation was carried out and the shepherds were safely rescued. However, the kidnappers managed to flee from the spot,” said Karauli SP Narayan Singh Togas.
