MORE AND MORE PATTAS SHOULD BE GIVEN IN THE CAMPS: CHIEF MINISTER

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that under the Prashasan Shehron Ke Sang (PSKS) campaign the work of giving residential land to the common people should be completed on time. “The government has given a lot of concessions in the regulation of leased houses so that maximum number of leases can be given in the ward wise camps starting from July 15. For the first time in this campaign, a discount of about 85 percent has been given for the issuance of Patta from the earlier rates. Instructions have been given to the collectors to transfer the pasture land coming in the area of the bodies to the bodies, so that the pattas can be issued to the population settled on it,” Gehlot said while addressing the review meeting of PSKS at his residence on Thursday Gehlot said that all the bodies should rectify their revenue records at the earliest, so that there is no problem in the distribution of leases. “During the campaign, the administration will also conduct door-to-door survey of the families deprived of pattas on the basis of voter list, so that pattas can be issued to the needy. Giving justice to poor has always been the priority of the government. The kutcha settlements are settled under compulsion and later basic facilities are developed in them. The government is serious about regulating the kutcha settlements in the state and providing basic facilities there. Now two day camps would be organised at public places in each ward under the campaign for issuing pattas.

Once every week, the Collector will visit the municipal bodies and inspect these camps and the Divisional Commissioner will also keep a watch on it,” Gehlot said. The CM informed that State Government has increased the cut-off date for regulation of colonies settled on agricultural land from 1999 to December, 2021.

He said that it should be ensured that the poor people do not face any kind of problem in these camps & people should be told about the advantages of getting leases. The CM said that cells have been set up in District Collector’s office to address any kind of problem and suggestion in the camp. Information about these cells and helplines will be given to the public by placing boards outside the camp site, he said. UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal said that detailed norms have been given to officials & workshops have been organised for efficient operation of PSKS drive. CS Usha Sharma said that for the first time so many relaxations are being given in distributing leases.
