Monkey pox: Passengers to be screened

Jaipur: In view of spread of monkey pox, administration has issued alert about passengers coming to India from Europe, Australia, USA, Canada. Health dept has asked to screen passengers & send samples to NIV Pune after getting suspects. Virus is transmitted from human to human & from animal to human. Virus can enter body through eyes, nose & mouth after coming out of patient’s wound. Monkeypox can also be spread by bite of monkeys, rats, squirrels or by touching their blood.
