Jaipur: On the second day of the Director General of PoliceInspector General of Police conference, guest lectures and discussions on the country’s internal security were held in five sessions in the presence of PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. PM Modi was present in all 5 sessions and was present at the conference venue RIC for about 12 hours. He said there is a need for police coordination among states on issues like terrorism and border security for smooth action. PM said, “Engage in innovation along with traditional policing. Keep in mind how common people should get facilities in innovations. Our government has abolished many police-related laws dating back to British Raj. All DGPs should make their best efforts for friendly policing.”
