Modi 3.0: Four Raj MPs take oath, diversifying BJP leadership base

Jaipur: Four MPs from Rajasthan have been included in Modi's cabinet, representing the eastern Rajasthan, Marwar, Bikaner, and Ajmer divisions.

The new cabinet members are Bhupendra Yadav (Alwar), Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (Jodhpur), Arjun Meghwal (Bikaner), and Bhagirath Chaudhary (Ajmer).

Yadav, a significant OBC face and skilled strategist, has seen his stature grow after overcoming caste dynamics in eastern Rajasthan. His prominence in the BJP organisation at the national level has led to his appointment as a central minister for second time.

Shekhawat, after Rajnath Singh, has emerged as one of the leading Rajput leaders in the country. Meghwal has become one of the most prominent Dalit leaders in the BJP. His organisational skills and ability to earn PM Modi's trust have solidified his standing. Chaudhary, representing the Jat community, has seen a rise in his political career. After losing Assembly polls, his victory in LS elevated his stature.

The inclusion of these ministers, each representing different communities and regions, reflects BJP's strategy to diversify and strengthen its leadership base in Rajasthan.
