Miscreants barge into doctors’ home, attack with screwdriver

Jaipur: The Vaishali Nagar Police on Monday launched an investigation after four miscreants allegedly barged into a doctor’s house and decamped with valuables. Police informed the victims were beaten and held hostage by the miscreants. “The victims have been identified as Dr Iqbal Bharti and his wife Dr Nasreen Bharti. The four miscreants, including a woman, entered the house on Monday afternoon and started beating the victims. A maid was also present in the home when the incident occurred. Dr Iqbal Bharti was locked up in the bathroom, while his wife and maid were also held hostage,” said DCP (West) Vandita Rana. “The accused looted the house and fled from the spot. The victims alerted the police after the incident. An FSL team has collected samples from the house and the matter is being investigated. The woman involved in the loot is identified as Anu. CCTV footage is being gathered to nab the accused.
