Ministers need to wait, preps for reshuffle in organization
Jaipur: As the swearing-in ceremony for the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister approaches on December 15, MLAs anticipating ministerial roles in new Rajasthan BJP govt must exercise patience. BJP sources said that a consistent formula is being applied across states where the party has secured victory. Following the pattern seen in Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, only the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers will take oath initially, with rest of ministers to be sworn in later.
Cabinet formation will adhere to caste and divisional representation. Simultaneously, murmurs suggesting changes at the organizational level have started within BJP. Bhajan Lal & Diya Kumari currently hold the post of State Gen Secy. Now party plans adjustments to address caste equations. Apart from this, office bearers becoming ministers in govt will also be removed. There’s speculation about a delay in cabinet formation if the decision is made to wait until after Malamas which will end by Makar Sankranti.
