Mining secy shows displeasure, raps mining dept officials
Jaipur: In a review meeting of the Vigilance Branch of Mining Dept, Mining Secy Anandi expressed strong dissatisfaction. She reprimanded officials for their laxity in recovering dues. The Kota zone has shown least action against illegal mining, dispatch, and storage, with zero cases of illegal mining. A penalty of Rs 163.16 cr was imposed for illegal activities up to Mar 31, but only Rs 116.94 cr has been recovered. In current FY, Rs 8.54 cr in fines were imposed.
