Mines dept expects Rs 100-cr from minor minerals
Jaipur: The mining department has decided to conduct an online auction of new 639 minor mineral plots in different districts that will fetch revenue of more than Rs 100 crore to the department.
The trio of Mines Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya, ACS Dr Subodh Agrawal and Director KB Pandya have shown excellent teamwork. First, small plots of minor minerals were prepared and then their online auction was started. Mahesh Mathur, Additional Director posted in the Directorate of Mines, was given the responsibility to monitor the entire process.
The department got good results for all this hard work. It was successful in auctioning more than 2,000 minor mineral plots and now excited by this success, the department has started the process of auctioning 639 new mining plots across the state. These mining plots of one to four hectares of masonry stone, granite, gravel, sand stone, quartz, feldspar, marble and silica sand can be auctioned online from June 28 to August 23.
