Jaipur: The state’s mines department has earned a record revenue of Rs 2,588.93 crore in the current financial year until August. Additional Chief Secretary Mines Subodh Agarwal said that the revenue is more than Rs 614 crore 63 lakh as compared to the corresponding period last year and Rs 968 crore more revenue has been earned as compared to the year 2019-20. He said that in 2020 and 2021, the revenue was hit due to the severe impact of the Corona pandemic.

Agarwal said that it is the result of zero tolerance policy against illegal mining, transportation and storage in the state that since last one-and-a-halfmonths, big machines have been seized, FIRs and arrests are being made continuously in a joint action by Mines, Police and the Forest department.
