Mines Department creates record by earning all time high revenue of Rs 7,211 cr in FY-2022-23

Jaipur: The Mines department has made an all-time record in revenue generation by collecting Rs 7211.69 crore in the financial year ended March 31. This is 816 crore more than the last financial year.

ACS Mines Dr Subodh Agarwal said that according to the initial information, a record revenue of Rs 7211.69 crore has been earned by department in FY 2022-23.

Expressing happiness over record revenue earning, Mines Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya said that this has been the result of transparent functioning, effective monitoring, team spirit and coordinated efforts of the state government. He also congratulated ACS Dr. Subodh Agarwal, Director Sandesh Nayak and other officers and personnel for setting the all-time record of revenue generation. Agarwal said that in order to effectively curb the wastage of revenue, the department has taken action to stop illegal mining, transportation and storage, while e-auction of minor and major minerals has also created a new record to encourage legal mining.
