Mehariya takes a U-turn, back in ‘mother party’ BJP with supporters

Jaipur: Ahead of the Assembly elections to be held on November 25, leaders continue to switch parties. On Friday, Bhagirath Mehariya, who was a candidate in Khinwsar assembly constituency, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with his supporters including Arjunram Mehariya, Maniram Kala Balaya, Bhagirath Bangawan and Badriram Bidiyasar at the BJP Media Centre in Jaipur.

During this, Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Nagaur MLA Mohanlal Chaudhary were also present. They welcomed the members with a BJP scarf and sweets.

Mehariya was the BJP candidate from Khinwsar in 2013. He was an active worker in BJP from 2013 to 2023 but had joined the Congress Party on October 25.
