Medicos boycott work for 2 hrs demand review of APO doctors

Jaipur: The controversy over the death of a patient due to wrong blood transfusion in SMS Hospital continued. After the government put three doctors on APO and suspended a nursing officer in case, the resident doctors of the medical college boycotted work for two hours on Saturday in support of the doctors. They demanded 3 doctors to be reinstated.

Angry resident doctors said, “If the govt does not fulfill our demand, resident doctors across the state would boycott work for a day.” Meanwhile, a large number of patients returned without treatment due to OPD being shut. However, some patients waited for doctors till 11.30 am.
