Medical jurist at SMS held for ransom threat

Jaipur: A medical jurist, posted at SMS was arrested by Muhana Thana Police on Wednesday for allegedly threatening and demanding a ransom of Rs 30 lakhs from his own friend.
Police informed the accused had been identified as Dr Dhruv Meena, a medical jurist at SMS Hospital. “The accused had handed over a letter to the complainant’s son, Prasant Jain, at his residence in Patrakar Colony on Tuesday. When Prashant opened the letter, he found a rakhi and a live cartridge in it. The accused threatened the complainant, Madan Jain, to pay a ransom of Rs 30 lakhs by 5 pm or he will be killed,” police added. “Madan Jain is in the transport business and he along with Dr Dhruv Meena was involved in betting business,” police added.
