Media should realise its responsibility: Guv

Jaipur: Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Thursday called upon the media to discharge values of journalism while following self-regulated ethics and set an example of public interest journalism. The Governor was addressing the first convocation of Haridev Joshi Journalism and Mass Communication University.

He said that the media should realise its responsibility, publishing factual, analytical and unbiased news. He said that care should be taken so that there is no atmosphere of confusion or provoking sentiments.

The governor said that journalism is an area that has a direct concern with the public, because of which journalism is considered the fourth pillar.
