Manju Rajpal becomes 2nd woman JDC

Jaipur: Jaipur Development Authority’s newly appointed Commissioner Manju Rajpal took charge today from former Commissioner Jogaram. She said that efforts will be made to complete 100- day action plan of government on priority within the stipulated time & quality work.

After a long gap of about twenty years, the command of the development has once again come into hands of a senior woman IAS officer. Newly appointed Commissioner of JDA, Manju Rajpal took charge on Thursday.

This is the second time that the state government has expressed confidence in a woman officer for the post. Earlier, Usha Sharma was made JDC in the year 2003, but her tenure was only for 5 months. Manju Rajpal, was holding the charge of Administrative Secretary of the Rural Development Department.

She has served as the District Collector of Ajmer, Bhilwara, Sikar and Dungarpur. Apart from rural devpt, she has also served in Finance and Panchayati Raj departments as Secretary. Manju was a member of Revenue Board, Ajmer and was also Director in Cabinet Secretariat during her deputation.

Manju Rajpal, the topper in her batch, is originally from Churu. She received the Best District Collector Award for implementing the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in 2006.
