‘Man of Biodiversity’ Banerjee takes helm as PCCF HoFF
Jaipur: Popular as ‘Man of Biodiversity’, 1991 batch IFS officer Arijit Banerjee will be PCCF HoFF in the Rajasthan forest department for the next 29 months. Banerjee will take charge today. A tech-savvy Banerjee will mark the beginning of a new era in the forest department.
Munish Garg retired on Friday. Banerjee is among the top experts on biodiversity in the country. He has 10 years of experience working in CMO.
Born on October 11, 1966 in West Bengal, Banerjee has been a multitalented person. He was selected in the Indian Forest Service in 1991 and after getting Rajasthan cadre, he got his first posting as Assistant Forest Conservator in Udaipur North in 1993. He is an expert in every field of forestry, bird expert and a wildlife photography enthusiast, and has had a different working style from the beginning.
