Malian & Senegalese women seek Rajeevika training in Rajasthan
Jaipur: The Rajeevika model, implemented in Dholpur district of Rajasthan, has provided livelihood opportunities to 12,500 women in Senegal and Mali. Rajeevika women from Dholpur travelled to Senegal and Mali to provide training on forming self-help groups, village organisations, and federations.
They also conducted training on managing the federation and manufacturing products, helping women in these countries save approximately Rs 17 cr annually. Abhay Kumar, ACS of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, discussed cooperation with the representatives from Mali and Senegal who came to acquire training in Rajasthan at Indira Gandhi Nahar Bhawan.
The representatives thanked state govt. Representatives from both countries, with women heads of 9 federations, have arrived in Jaipur.
