LUMPY ISSUE TO LOOM OVER RAJ ASSEMBLY IN ONGOING SESSION
Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has assured that the State Government is making every effort to save the lives of bovines from lumpy skin disease in the state. While talking to the media in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Monday, he said that all the members of the Legislative Assembly to move away from political ideology and come forward to save the bovines. “Together, they should demand the Central Government to declare this disease as a national calamity and to be treated like pandemic, so that the disease can be controlled at the earliest. It is the important responsibility of the Central Government to ensure the supply of necessary vaccines and medicines for the prevention of the disease. For this the members of the opposition should cooperate,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that on August 15, 2022, an all-party meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s residence for the prevention of lumpy skin disease in the state. “In this, discussions were held with the public representatives of various parties, religious leaders, voluntary organizations, goshala operators and experts etc. regarding lumpy disease. Everyone unanimously called it a serious matter. Therefore, we all should make efforts to declare the disease as a national calamity by forgetting political differences.” he said.
