Lumpy: Free goat pox vax for cattle in Raj

Jaipur: In view of spread of the Lumpy skin diseases among cattle, the State government has decided to provide free goat pox vaccine to the cattle rearers. No fee will be charged from livestock owners till further orders. Animal Husbandry Secretary PC Kishan issued the order on Wednesday. About 29,917 animals died in the state due to lumpy skin disease till Wednesday. The number of sick animals in the state was 703629 while 649913 animals were treated and 340853 cured. Maximum 4947 animals died in Nagaur, 4218 in Sri Ganganagar, 2938 in Jodhpur, 2317 in Barmer, 2177 in Jalore, 2602 in Hanumangarh, 2044 in Bikaner, 2197 in Churu. According to the data, lumpy skin disease has spread in 30 out of 33 districts.
