LOVE BEYOND BOUNDARIES AND TIME!

Jaipur: In the hustle of life, we always forget to stop and think about the one thing that we just cannot afford to lose. The most important emotion in life is LOVE. Love does not mean being in a relationship but rather being there for someone else. When in love, we tend to bounce between exhilaration, euphoria, increased energy, insomnia, a racing heart and thoughts of despair, these all are shades of love.

As we are discussing love, we can say that every move of love is predictable but still, it is difficult to foreshadow when and who to fall in love with. Here, we all have seen different shades of love in our lives but have you ever paused for a moment to ask yourself what shapes your character when you are in love? To know this side of this pure emotion, best-selling novelist Durjoy Datta talks about his latest book 'When I am With You & all things Love & Romance' and discussed the depth and background of his characters. Reflecting on his emotional distance from writing about young love as a 37-year-old father of one, Durjoy Dutta, in conversation with author Kiran Manral at JLF 2023, said that he doesn’t want to sound spurious by penning young age characters as he can’t relate to them anymore, so he chose to write on older characters, which is a reflection of his life and relationships today.

“I earlier used to say my books are successful because they’re relatable, now I no longer say that,” said Dutta, adding that his subject matter has evolved with his latest novel When I Am With You, which deals with a 28-year-old single mother who is balancing entrepreneurship and a new relationship. “I can’t write about young people falling in love the way I could earlier.” The cover page of this book is the reflection of the stories it holds, this book is like the afternoon nap you have so good that you forget to feel your existence and what's going on around you for a while.
