Liquor supply halt at 2,112 shops over rs52 cr dues

Jaipur: Liquor supply stopped at 2,112 shops in the state, including 90 in the capital because of more than rs52 cr dues in the first quarter. The 90 shops in Jaipur have arrears of about ` 7 cr.

The excise inspectors’ negligence is also a reason behind the stoppage of liquor supply as they failed to recover the outstanding guarantee amount. Commissioner Ravi Kumar Surpur also unhappy with the laxity on the part of inspectors.
