Legal crackdown on adulterants to ensure safety

Jaipur: In order to strengthen Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s vision of a healthy Rajasthan, the legal crackdown on adulterants has started strictly.

Till now, the actions under ‘Shudh Ke Liye Yudh’ Abhiyan were limited to the collection of samples, but in the last 1 year, there has been a record speed in presenting the cases of these actions in the court. In last 5 years, the maximum number of challans have been presented in the court in 2022. After CM Gehlot’s decision to set up Food Safety & Drug Control Commissionerate, the scene changed and with the appointment of a dedicated administrative head, the actions have been also intensified in the state, Minister Parsadi Lal Meena believes that unless strict legal action is taken, it is difficult to stop adulteration.
