Last rites of Manvendra Singh’s wife performed

Jaipur: The mortal remains of Chitra Singh, former MP Manvendra Singh Jasol’s wife, Chitra Singh, were consigned to flames today at the family’s farm house in Pabupura in Jodhpur. Their son, Hemir Singh, performed the last rites. Manvendra Singh, who was injured in the incident, could not be present as he is undergoing treatment.

Former BJP state president Satish Poonia, BJP leader Rajendra Singh Rathore, former MP Bhanwar Jitendra Singh along with many legislators and leaders from both BJP and Congress were present at the funeral. Chitra Singh had died in an accident on Delhi-Mumbai expressway in Alwar on Tuesday evening while Manvendra, his son Hamir Singh and driver were injured. Chitra singh’s body was brought to Jodhpur on Wednesday morning.

The gathering of relatives and acquaintances at the farmhouse besides their family members had started since the morning on Thursday. Hamir Singh was discharged after treatment.
