Kota-Bundi rlwy stns to be developed like airport: Birla

Kota: World Class facilities will be provided at Kota and Bundi railway stations which are being developed on the lines of the airport, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said. He said that work is being done under a major plan to strengthen rail facilities in the KotaBundi parliamentary constituency. “Kota and Bundi railway stations will be developed on the lines of the airport. Travelers will get world-class facilities at both the places,” he said.

After inaugurating the escalator and lift service at Kota railway station, Birla said that a plan of Rs 323 crore has been prepared for Kota and Dakaniya stations. In this, Rs 203.78 crore will be spent on Kota and Rs 119 crore will be spent on Dakania station. On the lines of the airport, on both these concourses, provision of seating arrangements and shops will be made for the passengers. Elaborate security arrangements will also be made at the stations.
