Khatipura to get Rly station by Dec 2022

Jaipur: To reduce the burden of increasing passenger load and excessive movement of trains at Jaipur Junction, railway administration is developing a new station in the city.

A terminal station is being developed at Khatipura ahead of Jagatpura on Delhi route. The railway administration has started its construction, and the target to complete its construction is by December 2022. The Railway administration is developing this station as an alternative to Jaipur Junction.

At present, an average of 90+ trains pass through Jaipur Junction every day. Because of the movement of more trains, train has to be stopped in the outer.
