Jpr Police busts extortion racket

Jaipur: Jaipur Police has busted a high-profile extortion racket that was involved in targeting the owners of renowned hospitals. The accused used to demand extortion money from hospital owners in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The police apprehended 4 accused Ravindra Singh alias Kali Shooter, Rahul, Harsh Bhadu and Khushboo Chelani. The police action was taken after the owner of Rajasthan hospital Dr SS Agrawal and owner of Brain Tower Hospital Dr Sunit Shah received threatening calls. The accused demanded extortion money of Rs 50 lakh. Following complaints, the police arrested the accused. Police commissioner Biju George Joseph said that Lawrence Bishnoi gang had been demanding extortion money & acting upon the complaints, police arrested four accused.

During interrogation, it was revealed that Khushi Chelani harbored political aspirations and required funds, leading her to provide the gang with contact information of the doctors.
