Jpr-bound flyers stuck in Guwahati as flight cancelled

Jaipur: The SpiceJet flight from Guwahati to Jaipur was suddenly cancelled on Thursday causing much inconvenience to 288 passengers coming to Jaipur and other cities. The passengers were stuck at the Guwahati airport. The flight was to depart at 10:40 am but about 40 minutes before its departure, it was announced that the flight was cancelled due to technical reasons.

Alok Pareek, general secretary of the Jaipur City District Congress Committee, along with his family was also coming to Jaipur. He said that the airlines did not make any other alternative arrangements for the passengers. Most of the passengers are tourists, who reached the airport after vacating their hotel rooms. One passenger had to attend a relative’s cremation in Jaipur.
