JP Gupta’s name as PS to CM gathers momentum, again!

Jaipur: Why is there a delay in the appointment of the Principal Secretary to the CM? Answering this ‘million dollar’ question, informed sources have indicated that a top officer of Gujarat cadre is coming on deputation to Rajasthan and word in bureaucratic circles is that the name of the 1991 batch IAS officer, JP Gupta, who is currently serving as ACS Finance in Gujarat, is being discussed. Gupta is a native of Dausa and has studied at Jodhpur University.

According to sources, deputation formalities are being completed. When will the final decision be taken in this regard? Will Gupta come to Jaipur after completion of ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ on January 15? It may be noted that Gupta is the batchmate of CS Sudhansh Pant.
