Jombo dies of suspected poisoning
Jaipur: Another elephant named Jayanti tragically passed away shortly after doctors declared her healthy at Hathi Gaon. This incident marks the second elephant death in just two days due to food poisoning. On Tuesday, elephant number 57, named Lakshmi, died.
Concerns loom over the safety of two other elephants, Mohini (number 39) and Phool Kali (number 87), as they are under the care of the same doctor who had cleared Jayanti’s health before her death.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the suspected poisoning of these four elephants.
CCTV footage and poisoned flour balls discovered at the scene thus support these suspicions.
Shockingly, neither the police nor the forest department has taken any action to address the situation.
