Joint team of Raj-UP gets maximum awards in match at ‘IRS Cricket Cup’

Jaipur: The joint team of IRS officers from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh got success in league match held on Friday in the ‘IRS Cricket Cup’ organized by the IRS officers of the Income Tax Department in Goa. Bengaluru Tigers, a team of Bengaluru IRS officers, was defeated by Rajasthan team by five wickets in the 18th over with 11 balls remaining.

With the victory in this match, chances of Rajasthan team reaching semi-final has gone up. The joint team of IRS officers from Rajasthan and UP will face Mumbai IRS on Saturday. Jaipur’s Additional Income Tax Comm’r Dinesh Badgurjar was named Man of the Match. In the match between joint team of IRS officers of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh vs the team of Bengaluru IRS officers held on Friday, Rajasthan team lost the toss and Bengaluru Tigers chose to bat first and set a target of 159 runs for Rajasthan.

The players of Rajasthan team maintained their hold on the match and made a solid start, but the team captain lost his wicket after some time. After this, Dinesh Badgurjar, working as Additional Commissioner in Jaipur, batted and was out after scoring 65 runs. Finally, Yogesh Meena, Deputy Director in Jaipur Investigation Branch, led the team to victory.
