JMCH councillors rigid on demand, protest continues

Jaipur: The strike which has been going on for 6 days in JMCH remained inconclusive on Wednesday. There was no progress on the demand of the mayor Munesh Gurjar and the councilors sitting on the dharna demanding the suspension of the Additional Commissioner.

Gurjar held a press conference and said she did not say any kind of casteist words to the Additional Commissioner. She also accused the Additional Commissioner of corruption and said that he is using caste to hide his corruption.

The mayor said that when she took office, she had adopted a girl belonging to SC caste, who is being nurtured by her.
“Earlier also two commissioners stayed here, no one had any objection with me, only this additional commissioner is using his caste to hide his corruption,” she alleged.

On the other hand, PHED Minister Mahesh Joshi also reached the Heritage Municipal Corporation in the afternoon and met the mayor and the councilors sitting on the dharna.

He inquired about their well-being. The councilors sitting on the dharna reiterated their demand for the suspension of the Additional Commissioner.
