JMCG staff go on pen-down strike

Strike can’t be a solution to any problem & it only hurts public, JMCG Mayor Dr Somya said

Jaipur: There seems to be a tussle between the public representatives and officials regarding the remarks made by councillors on officers & employees in general meeting of the JMCG held on Tuesday.

Due to this, on Tuesday the entire staff went on a pendown strike, and all the important work of the corporation was halted.

These are same sanitation workers & officers who conducted corporation’s work, risking their lives during Corona. In such a situation, if public representatives level allegations without facts, then how will the staff work? JMCG Mayor Dr Somya, called the protesting staff for talks.

“Public can be benefited only through mutual harmony between public representatives & employees. Strike can’t be a solution to any problem and it only hurts the public,” the Mayor added.
