JMC HERITAGE COUNCILLORS PROTEST AGAINST MAYOR

• Councillors alleged no devpt works done in the area and Mayor does not listen
• Councillors from Civil Lines, Adarsh Nagar, Kishanpole & Hawa Mahal joined the protest

Jaipur: Some of the councillors staged a dharna at JMC Heritage office, making an issue of lack of development works in wards.

They said over one year passed since Congress Board was formed in Heritage Corporation but so far only one board meeting has been held. “There has been no discussion with councillors regarding the budget.”

In the dharna, 7 councillors were from the Civil Line, 2 from Adarsh Nagar, 1 each from Kishanpole & Hawa mahal. Recently, Civil lines MLA and cabinet minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas had stated in the media that if the councillors are not heard, then why do not they raise their voice by going to the Municipal Corporation office.

Nearly a week after the statement, the councilors today staged a dharna, most of them from Civil lines.
