JMC Greater facing tough time in streamlining garbage collection

Jaipur: The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (Greater) is facing an uphill task to streamline the garbage collection work in city following the removal of BVG company, responsible for door-to-door garbage collection in the city.
 

Sources informed that of the seven zones, till now, the tenders for the garbage collection have been made only for Malviya Nagar and Murlipura Zone, while none of the companies showed interest in tenders for the remaining zones. On Wednesday, new hoppers were flagged off in Murlipura zone. Mayor Dr Somya and Commissioner Mahendra Soni flagged off 52 new hoppers for 21 wards of the Murlipura zone. The hoopers will be connected to the RFID system after 3 months.
