JDC Ravi Jain reviews projects being developed to reduce traffic congestion
Jaipur: JDA Commissioner Ravi Jain on Monday reviewed progress of under construction projects for traffic improvement at Jawahar Circle, B-2 Bypass chauraha and Laxmi Mandir Tiraha on Tonk road.
Director Engineering- I Ashok Choudhary, Architect and Consultant Anoop Bartaria and senior officers of JDA were also present with him.
Jain reviewed the progress of the projects and directed to complete all the projects within the stipulated time limit.
JDC said that in the central part of Jaipur city where most of the government offices, institutions, and commercial activities take place, heavy traffic conditions prevail in morning and evening and therefore the chief minister announced to make main intersections and Tirahos located in this part free of traffic signals.
He said that in the first phase, work is in progress on Jawahar Circle, B-2 Bypass and Laxmi Mandir Tiraheaat a cost of 283.90 crore. The work at Jawahar circle is proposed to be completed in 12 months while B-2 Bypass chauraha and Laxmi Mandir tiraha works are scheduled to be completed in 18 months and 8 months respectively.
