JDA to grant TDR certs to builders

Jaipur: Jaipur Development Authority will issue Transferable Development Rights (TDR) certificates to the builders working under the affordable housing scheme which was introduced in the earlier term of the Congress government led by CM Gehlot.

The decision to issue the certificate was taken in the building map committee meeting chaired by JDA commissioner Ravi Jain.

The committee has decided to issue the certificate in two cases.
Affordable housing policy was brought to be built houses for the poor. In turn, benefits related to Build Area Ratio (BAR) were to be given to the developer.

Under this certificate, the developer can use extra BAR elsewhere. For this, the developer will not have to pay a betterment levy.
