JCTSL workers go on indefinite hunger strike

Jaipur: Jaipur’s low-floor bus service faces potential disruptions as employees of the Jaipur City Transport Services Limited (JCTSL) have initiated an indefinite hunger strike starting Monday. Under the banner of the Mazdoor Congress (INTUC), the workers are protesting to demand the removal of conductors who have been inappropriately assigned for over a decade, the provision of night rest allowances, and the payment of overdue arrears. The ongoing protest threatens to affect daily commutes as negotiations between the workers and management are yet to reach a resolution.
