Jawahar circle SI held in 5-yr-old bribe case

Jaipur: In a five year old bribery case, SI Dinesh Sharma posted in Jawahar Circle police station was arrested late night and produced in a court from where he was sent to jail.

In the year 2018, complainant Navrat Sharma had given a complaint to Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB). Dinesh Sharma, posted at Sanganer Sadar police station, was demanding money to give him benefits in a case.

The ACB team got the complaint verified on the basis on 23 March 2018. On 26 March, the victim called the accused to get money but he said he was away.

The accused had got clues about ACB trap as such refused to take money but ACB filed a case on the basis of the evidence.

The accused had taken a stay from the court on his arrest. ACB took the sanction of the prosecution and arrested him.
