JANATA SETS THE BAR HIGH!
Jaipur/New Delhi: In the scorching heat of the second and final phase of the Lok Sabha election in Rajasthan, voter turnout surpassed 64% in 13 out of 25 constituencies on Friday. Across most constituencies, polling was brisk, with queues forming outside booths early in the morning. The Barmer constituency recorded the highest turnout at 73.68%, followed closely by Banswara at 72.24%, contributing to the state’s average turnout of 64.02%. During Phase 1, the desert State witnessed a 58.28% voter turnout. Meanwhile, in Phase 2 of polls conducted in 88 seats across 13 states/UTs on Friday, nearly 61% of voters cast their ballots. Tripura and Manipur led with highest voter turnouts at 78.53% and 77.18%, resp, while UP recorded lowest turnout at 53.71%.
