Jaisalmer ranks 2nd among 112 dist in India
Jaisalmer: Despite severe challenges, Rajasthan’s geographically largest district of Jaisalmer, has secured number two position among 112 districts across the country in ‘Aspirational District Programme’ with the tireless efforts of the district team led by collector Ashish Modi.
Along with this, the district is on the top in the national ranking in the education sector under the programme. The programme was launched by the Niti Aayog to push for substantial growth across various socio-economic parameters in areas that still remain distant from inclusive development.
Various activities are being successfully conducted in Jaisalmer under the programme including compliance of LaQshya guidelines, 4 ANC tests of pregnant women, nutrition for pregnant women, institutional deliveries and best delivery facilities among others.
Up to 100 percent progress has been registered in infrastructure indicators.
Under the SMILE-2 program, door-to-door education is being arranged for the students and girls are given life skill education in Rajasthan.
