Jaisalmer DTO tops in revenue collection of Transport Dept

Jaipur: The Transport Department has done vigorous work in revenue collection in the last financial year, compared to the previous financial year with which the department achieved more revenue of about Rs 1400 crore.

There are 15 district transport officers who have earned more revenue than the fixed revenue. Among them, Jaisalmer DTO got the first position.

Department after the completion of the financial year. The performance of most of the RTOs and DTOs in the transport dept was poor till the month of December but Transport Commissioner KL Swamy gave directions to the field officers by taking frequent meetings.

Apart from this, teams of senior officers from the headquarters were also sent to different RTO regions in the months of Feb and March. As a result, the field officers worked with full dedication in the last months of the financial year and the revenue of the dept reached Rs 6,100 cr.
